Our child-focused practice works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy through adolescence. All of our pediatricians and medical staff are highly trained professionals, maintaining the highest level of accreditation in pediatrics to address the special needs of infants, children, and teens.

Dr. Robert Langston, M.D.

Doctor Robert Langston was born in Alabama and was educated in public schools through high school.  He graduated from Huntingdon College in Montgomery with a BS majoring in Psychology.  He received his MD from the University of South Alabama in Mobile. He completed his straight pediatric internship and residency at Los Angeles County/ University of Southern California. He is board certified in Pediatrics and has recertified 3 times and completed maintenance of certification by the American Board of Pediatrics.

He has been in his pediatric practice in San Francisco for 12 years enjoying every minute.

His wife, Kristine, and he have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren who continue to teach Dr. Langston more about caring for children every day. 

Dr. Katy Johnston, M.D.

Doctor Johnston was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and she spent her childhood in Berkeley. She attended the University of California at Berkeley where she earned her undergraduate degree and a BA in psychology.  She received her medical degree on the East Coast at Albany Medical College and completed her pediatrics residency at UCSD in San Diego CA. Dr. Johnston is a board certified Pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She joined Robert Langston, MD in his practice in 2011 after working as an outpatient Pediatrician.

She has brought an interest in preventative medicine, nutrition, and developmental pediatrics to the practice, and cherishes becoming an important asset to the lives of her patients and their families.

Dr. Lucy Hume, M.D.

Dr. Lucy Hume is a 3rd generation San Franciscan and a graduate of Katherine Delmar Burke School and University High School.

She received her BA from Brown University in 1994, and her MD from The George Washington School of Medicine in 2000. She completed her Pediatric Internship and Residency at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC. Dr. Hume is a board certified Pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

She moved back to her hometown in 2003 and was on Staff at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital from 2004-5. She then joined the California Pacific Medical Center Staff in 2005 and has since been working in the Newborn Nursery and Labor and Delivery.  

She joined Robert Langston, MD in his practice in 2008 and works part-time on Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

She is married and has 2, very active, sons born in 2004 and 2005.
